The bail reform movement in the USA is in a state of flux, caught between discriminatory cash bail systems and the controversial risk assessment tools replacing it. Meanwhile European systems, which feature neither cash nor algorithms, are experimenting with other methods to reduce detention rates. This event brings together key criminal justice reformers from the USA and Europe to share strategies, challenges and successes in the movement for liberty pending trial. Hosted by CJPP and Fair Trials. RSVP here.
